From painting and sculpture to dance and operetta, Ohio State University's talented students excel in all of the arts, most of which are shared with the public.
Milton Caniff, who graduated from Ohio State in 1930 was known as the Rembrandt of the comic page. He was the creator of the Steve Canyon and Terry and the Pirates series which influenced the style and attitude of a wide number of other comics that followed. After his death in 1988, many of Caniff's works and papers were left to the University and formed the basis of the OSU Cartoon Research Library.
At the age of 21 Maya Lin created the design for the Vietnam Memorial that brought her to international prominance. The Wexner Center is fortunate to have one of Maya's work, known as "Groundswell" incorporated into the landscape of the Center.
