The Olentangy River flows past The Ohio State University campus and is the western boundary for University District neighborhoods. The university and surrounding community have embraced the river and are making strides to restore it to a more natural state with several recreational opportunities. Grab your bike or take one from one of the area's COGO bikeshare stations and visit the natural and built sights along the Olentangy.

Later expanded to its current capacity of 104,944 people, it is the third largest football stadium in the United States. The Lane Avenue Bridge sails across the Olentangy River with ease at a span of 370 feet. The modern cable-stay design provides an iconic gateway into the University District. The 62 acre greespace on the west side of the Olentangy River has several features including a learning garden, lake, green roof, and integrated art sculptures. Several events are scheduled throughout the year - check the website for a schedule.
