UCBA received funding for its Panhandling & Homelessness Reduction Project. The grant, awarded by the Coalition for a Non-Violent Columbus, will allow UCBA to create on-street messaging signs to educate visitors and students on the impacts of casual on-street donations. The goal of the signs is to make individuals aware of the safety concerns when exchanging money on the street. They will also direct individuals to donate towards local social organizations which work to reduce poverty and homelessness.
