NEWS RELEASE:
For Immediate Release:

The HOPE Fifth Monday Series
"O" is for Opportunities".

The next forum in the HOPE Fifth Monday Series, sponsored by the University District Organization, will be held on Monday, September 29, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Indianola Church of Christ, 2141 Indianola Ave.

The forum will focus on trends in urban neighborhood revitalization and how these trends impact the University District.

The guest speaker will be nationally recognized real estate and community development consultant, Peter J. Roche. In recent years, Roche has focused his practice in two key areas: developing high quality mixed use/mixed income projects and forging constructive engagements between major place-based institutions and the neighborhoods where they reside. He has served as a consultant for The Ohio State University's Campus Partners Project, as well as two non-profit developers who are currently engaged in negotiating large-scale mixed income/mixed use developments in partnership with Harvard University and the University of Chicago.

Moderator Steve Sterrett, Community Relations Director, Campus Partners, will facilitate a discussion involving a panel of local urban revitalization experts, including Michael Wilkos, Senior Impact Director, United Way of Central Ohio; and Steve Gladman, President, Affordable Housing Trust of Columbus.

The forum is free and open to the public.

The Hope Fifth Monday Series is funded through a grant from the United Way - Neighborhood Partnership Center.
