UCBA Spring Lunch & Learn: High Street '73

  • Northwood-High Building 2231 North High Street Columbus, OH 43201 United States (map)

Photographer and Ohio State University professor Clay Lowe set out to document High Street in 1973 from the southern farms outside the city to the northern reaches of Worthington. The resulting photographic collection is a captivating snapshot of life on Columbus’ most iconic street. Lowe’s former student and current WOSU TV producer Mary Rathke helped catalog the photos and pair them with recent images. She along with Columbus historian Doreen Uhas-Sauer will present this photographic journey and provide insight on the changes seen in the University District and other neighborhoods on High Street.
