Conceptual Thoughts / Inspiration
I wanted to create something fun, light-hearted and playful. The electric boxes that I have seen covered in vinyl can sometimes disappear into the background of the busy street when they’re too complex. I wanted to create something that was really bright and noticeable, but still innocent and sweet. I want it to appear as a large gum drop or fuzzy lump. Creating a texture out of paper, gives the design a more three dimensional aspect, projecting depth and layers, rather than a flat surface. An overall texture transforms the box into a sculptural object.
