Trash-to-Treasure 2.0!

UDO

A huge thanks to all the artists for another successful round of trash-to-treasure dumpster murals!

The Original Trash-to-Treasure

In 2019, we launched our first series of dumpster murals in the alleyway between W Norwich Ave & W Lane Ave. These transformed dumpsters became a walkable gallery featuring artists from all over the city.

Now featuring Trash-to-Treasure 2.0

Now, we’re proud to present our second series: Trash-to-Treasure 2.0! This gallery is segmented into a North Cluster and South Cluster alongside Pearl St, east of High.

North Cluster

The North Cluster starts just south of Northwood Ave, behind Kafe Kerouac, and ends on E 18th Ave, behind McDonald’s.

South Cluster

The South Cluster begins on 12th Ave, behind UDF, with the south-most dumpster being on Chittenden Ave, behind Plaza.

#1 — Robert ‘mrrobotgeek’ Williams

“when people see clouds they can dream, relax and have a positive look on things”

#2-3 — Lisa Celeste

“The colorful pattern represents the veil between reality & our how our eyes perceive their own reality.”

#4-5 — Jeremy Hollon, Anne Knellinger & Dani Wollerman

“Like fabric, we are woven into each other's lives and create something beautiful together.”

#6 — Donna Estep

“The blend of urban and country, metal and wood, natural and man-made.”

#7 — Maureen E. Clark

“I love the idea of beautifying an everyday object typically ignored or seen as unsightly.”

#8 — Derrick Callender

“A lot of my work is inspired by space, and creative characters.”

#9 — Sam Bonnell-Kangas

“A play on objects that often fill the OSU alleyways and the fairytale Princess and the Pea.”

“In homage to the princess and the many mattresses that often fill the alley of campus following the end of a school year, the exterior of the dumpster shows a stack of colorful slabs that bend and flex to the will of the objects they’ve fallen on top of, in this case, moving boxes.”

#10 — Ashley Pierce

“The lightening bugs and the full moon can add a bit of whimsy to the area.”

#11 — Bryant Anthony

“Spread more love.”
